Criscilla Anderson was a choreographer for the famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. She appeared on the CMT show Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making The Team as a guest judge and choreographer.
She married country singer Coffey Anderson in 2009. They shared part of their lives with viewers on Netflix’s Cowboy Ever After reality show in 2020. The show followed the couple as they lived their lives in Los Angeles, California. The series included raw footage of Criscilla Anderson battling colon cancer.
After a misdiagnosis, she was finally diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2018. Despite treatment, the cancer spread to stage 4.
A friend announced on social media on December 2 that Criscilla Anderson had sadly lost her battle with cancer and had passed away.
Country Star ‘Shattered’ Over Wife’s Death
Coffey and Criscilla Anderson were reportedly divorced at the time of her death. While they never officially confirmed when the divorce process was over, he filed to end their marriage in 2022.
The former couple shared three children together: Ethan, Emmarie Grace-Gloria, and Everleigh. Criscilla Anderson was the stepmother of Coffey’s daughter from a previous relationship.
Despite the divorce, Criscilla Anderson’s death hit her ex-husband hard. He took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute to her. “Criscilla defined strength and fighter like no other person on the planet. Heaven gained a star today,” he wrote on social media.
Coffey Anderson shared her final message: “She said before she passed, “if you see a butterfly, that will be me. If you miss me, a butterfly will show up. Remember….I’ll be there with you.”
Criscilla Anderson’s death was painful for her ex-husband, even though they were divorced. “So, dance your heart out on the beach in heaven. No more pain, no colostomy bag, no more neuropathy, no chemo, or radiation and you can eat as much dessert as you want with no calories.”
“We miss you already. Our hearts are shattered. Our minds are jumbled,” he wrote.
Coffey Anderson received comments of condolence and memories of his late wife. “She was the epitome of strength and resilience. Her spirit, grit and determination will live on in her babies. The world lost one of the best today,” one follower wrote.
Another added, “no one fought as hard as this woman did . She is one amazing momma, a great friend to all her friends . God take real good care of her, please.”
Coffey Anderson ended his tribute with a heartbreaking final line. He wrote, “I’m glad you get to meet the two babies we lost.”
