THE MARS VOLTA Is In The Studio Yet Again
The Mars Volta reunited in 2021 and they’ve been productive as hell ever since. The Mars Volta dropped their self-titled comeback album in 2022, an acoustic version of that album called Que Dios Te Maldiga Mi Corazón in 2023, and then another new record called Lucro Sucio; Los Ojos del Vacio this year. And guess what? There’s more coming!
The Mars Volta was recently in the studio with legendary producer Sylvia Massy (Tool, System Of A Down, Monolord, etc.) and engineer Jon DeBaun a few days ago to begin work on the new record. No other information is yet available, which I guess isn’t suprising considering The Mars Volta released Lucro Sucio; Los Ojos del Vacio with basically no real actual announcement.
The Mars Volta in 2025 is founders Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala, bassist Eva Gardner, percussionist and keyboardist Marcel Rodríguez-López, keyboardist and saxophonist Leo Genovese, and drummer Linda-Philomène Tsoungui.
