BONNIE X CLYDE Drop Their Version of HAVEN’s Viral AI Track, “I Run”

After HAVEN’s controversial upload was pulled from streaming platforms, BONNIE X CLYDE reworked “I Run” with polished vocals and pulsing production.

BONNIE X CLYDE have officially released their own version of “I Run,” restoring human vocals to a track that recently became a flashpoint in the debate over AI-generated music.

Originally uploaded on October 28th, “I Run” surged to the No. 11 spot on Spotify’s US charts on the back of its infectious vocals, prompting listeners to speculate that they belonged to Grammy-nominated artist Jorja Smith. However, she publicly denied the rumors, fueling speculation the track was developed using AI.

This week, the track was pulled from Spotify and Apple Music, among other streaming platforms. “Spotify strictly prohibits artist impersonation,” a spokesperson said. “This track was detected and removed, and no royalties were paid out for any streams generated.”

London-based producer Harrison Walker later revealed himself as the creator behind the HAVEN project and claimed the voice was his own, manipulated by music production software. The song’s audio engineer, Matt Cahill, admitted in a social media video that he’d fed the vocals through the controversial AI music platform Suno.

BONNIE X CLYDE’s new version of “I Run” builds on the original’s framework with a forceful UKG structure and chugging bassline that reshapes the drop with more intensity. Paige brings her stentorian vocals to the mix, delivering the track’s topline with vigor.
