It was announced, “Aimless, Inc. Headquarters is heartbroken to share that our Founder, our Folk Hero, our Poet of the World, our Vice President of the Abrupt Change Dept., the Storyteller, our beloved Todd Daniel Snider has departed this world. Where do we find the words for the one who always had the right words, who knew how to distill everything down to its essence with words and song while delivering the most devastating, hilarious, and impactful turn of phrases? Always creating rhyme and meter that immediately felt like an old friend or a favorite blanket. Someone who could almost always find the humor in this crazy ride on Planet Earth.”

Todd Snider Had Some Bad Times Before His Tragic Death

Todd had a rough time in the weeks leading up to his sad and tragic death. On November 2, Todd was arrested for allegedly causing problems at a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Snider’s team said he was hurt in an attack that was said to have happened, and canceled the rest of his tour dates.

Todd Snider Leaves Behind Thousands Of Brokenhearted Fans

Aimless, Inc. Headquarters also shared: “How do we move forward without the one who gave us countless 90 minute distractions from our impending doom? The one who always had 18 minutes to share a story. We’ll do it by carrying his stories and songs that contain messages of love, compassion, and peace with us.”

Condolences are pouring in from all over. This tragic news has devastated his longtime loyal fans. He was a very humble storyteller who helped heal some called him a ‘shining light’.  Fans’ comments reveal just how loved he truly was:

“His pain is over and his song is finished. He’s gone where we can’t follow him yet, but one day we’ll all join him there. Man this sucks for us, but Todd he’s got no worries anymore. We are poorer without him, but his gentle spirit is free now. Bittersweet is what it is, this world was too low for a guy like him.”

“Todd never considered himself equal of his hero’s John Prine, Kris, Guy or Jerry Jeff but he was. Now I’m overwhelmed with sadness that the last has passed and the joy that he joined the heavenly band. God bless you Todd, the pain and suffering is over. RIP”

Fans Share Broken Hearts For Devastating Loss In Comments

” We love you Todd, sail on old friend, we’ll see you again out there on the road somewhere down the line. You will always be a force of nature.”

“I’m stunned. Todd was a light that made me forget my own troubles, relax and live stories joyfully and at times with some pain and a lesson. His spirit was fresh, rather unrefined, humorous, and deeply human. And that’s what I’ll miss, his humanity and humor that made him one of us, yet brightly shining.”

Snider put out more than a dozen albums during his 30-year music career. He was also in Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band at one point. He was 59 years old.
