Gryffin and YDG Deliver Kaleidoscopic Rush on New Single, “The Feeling”

The long-awaited collaboration arrives after a year of festival teasers from both Gryffin and YDG.

Gryffin and YDG have joined forces for a new single, “The Feeling,” delivering a kaleidoscopic rush of emotive bass music.

It hits right off the rip with the lyric, “Love is a kaleidoscope,” before the arrangement shifts into a glimmering verse. The topline stays lifted over melodic production while YDG’s bass-forward touch adds weight.

The pre-drop moment, “You give me the feeling / light up the colors in the sky,” sets up a release that pays off in droves. The drop then hits with bright synths and Gryffin’s effervescent guitar licks, soaring skyward as YDG’s saw bass churns beneath.

The collaboration has been building for a while. Gryffin called YDG’s viral remix of Disclosure’s “You & Me” the highlight of his 2024 Coachella performance, saying it ended up in nearly every set he played for the rest of the year. “[YDG’s] music and remixes have managed to break through all the noise and be a big part of dance culture,” he said, adding that working together felt “effortless.”

The release arrives at the tail end of an impressive year for both artists. Gryffin dropped massive collaborations with Kaskade (“In My Head“), Excision (“Air“) and GRiZ (“Deep Clear Water“) this year, and he’s closing it out with appearances at Contact Festival, HiJinx and Provenance Festival. Meanwhile, YDG continues his rise as one of bass music’s most talked-about new names, receiving DJ support from Zeds Dead, ILLENIUM, Seven Lions, Alison Wonderland and many others.
