Beatport Launches Ticketing Service “Designed Exclusively for the Dance Music Community”
Beatport is taking a step beyond streaming and downloads, unveiling a platform that integrates ticketing with its music marketplace and editorial content.
Beatport is getting into the ticketing business, launching a new platform that aims to connect its 40 million annual users directly with EDM events across Europe and the US.
Developed in partnership with European ticketing company Weeztix, Beatport Tickets allows labels, promoters and venues to sell tickets directly through Beatportal, the company’s news and culture site.
The service went live October 15th and is currently only available to sellers in the UK and EU, but a US expansion is coming in the “coming months,” according to a press release. By 2026, the company expects event listings to be woven throughout Beatport’s store, mobile app and blog once full integration is complete.
The move is a logical extension for Beatport, a brand that’s spent years building infrastructure around dance music online and now wants to bridge the gap between digital discovery and physical dancefloors. It’s an ambitious play to become what Beatport calls a “360 platform,” owning the full journey from someone discovering a track to buying a ticket to see that artist live.
“With Beatport Tickets, we’re taking the next big step, bridging the gap between digital and live experiences, supporting promoters, helping artists expand their reach, and giving fans a richer way to engage with dance music,” said Helen Sartory, Chief Revenue Officer at Beatport. “Because without live music, there is no dance scene.”
The partnership with Weezix provides standard ticketing infrastructure including merchandise sales, analytics, API connectivity and 24/7 customer service. Beatport is also adding exclusive features like integrated playlists and profile-level event visibility to distinguish the offering.
