Sub Focus Reveals Cosmic Fourth Album, “Contact”: See the Full Tracklist

The distance between Sub Focus’ packed dancefloors and the void of space may seem vast, but he’s determined to bridge it with his most ambitious album yet.

Sub Focus is launching his latest album into orbit after revealing Contact, an ambitious 14-track collection that takes its cues from humanity’s first messages to the stars.

It’s no coincidence the album shares its title with one of humankind’s oldest desires. According to a press release, the influential drum & bass producer was deeply inspired NASA’s Voyager mission and its Golden Record, the phonograph record sent into space in 1977 containing sounds, music, images and greetings from Earth intended as a message to any extraterrestrial intelligence that might find it.

Its visual identity, developed with the photographer Neil Krug and the design agency Big Active, draws heavily from retrofuturistic aesthetics and space-age imagery. This thematic choice reflects a broader artistic vision, positioning Contact as a conceptual work exploring humanity’s relationship with technology and the cosmos.

Sub Focus has enlisted an eclectic roster of collaborators, including experimental pop artist Grimes and chart-topping British singer-songwriter Katy B alongside emerging talents like bbyclose, Fireboy DML, Connie Constance and Poppy Baskcomb. The album will also feature “Go Back,” his hit collaboration with John Summit and Julia Church.

Due out November 21st through Casablanca Records, Contact marks Sub Focus’ first solo effort since 2023’s Evolve, which reached the top 40 in the United Kingdom at the time.
