BARREN PATH (GRIDLINK, MARUTA) Streams Devastating Single “Horizonless”
After completing their final mission with the self-immolated Gridlink, guitarist Takafumi Matsubara and drummer Bryan Fajardo have re-calibrated their trajectory toward a new objective: Barren Path. Which is basically “Gridlink but extra death metal” and I’m here for it.
Joining forces with Mitchell Luna (Maruta, Shock Withdrawal) on vocals and re-enlisting grindcore operatives Mauro Cordoba and Rory Kobzina from Gridlink‘s Coronet Juniper sessions, the band strip away high-tech weaponry in favor of raw, close-quarters combat. For evidence, look no further than our searing premiere of the band’s new single “Horizonless”.
