Jason Aldean Talks On Podcast
Jason Aldean joined Dax Shepard on his podcast today, where he opened up about his PTSD. Some people were upset that Jason was even on there because of his conservative views, but that wasn’t what he was there to talk about today. Dax felt comfortable enough to ask Jason about the Route 91 Music Festival, and Jason opened up.
This happened back in 2017, and the gunman killed 59 people and injured over 500. Jason doesn’t talk much about this day, but Dax was able to get him to open up.

So What did Jason Have To Say?
Jason opened up about this event in a way that he hasn’t before. Here is part of what he had to say about it:
“We were in Canada just a couple days ago playing a show up there and we’re in kind of downtown the city walking to our hotel at night, probably midnight and a car backfires.
It sounds like a shotgun went off and I mean you’re right. All my crews with me that, you know, we’re all in that too, and so we’re all like, “What the f***?” And you know, so you still have those moments.
I never went. We And here’s the ironic thing. We funded a ton of therapy for a ton of therapy for all the crews and everybody else. And then, you know, obviously I didn’t go.”
He went on to explain that not being alone in it was helpful. Jason has talked to his band, crew, and his wife about what he went through that day. That has been his form of therapy.
Jason actually performed on Saturday Night Live the week after it happened. He did tell them that he didn’t want them writing what he had to say for them. He just wanted to do the show his own way. They let him do just that and it went well for Aldean.
