Listen to “Fort Knox” by Sigrid
Remember how Sigrid electrified the pop world with her groundbreaking debut track “Don’t Kill My Vibe” back in 2017? We were completely unprepared for the sheer talent of this pint-sized Norwegian powerhouse. And yet she left us speechless with her extraordinary singer-songwriter abilities. Now, I feel a similar wave of excitement surging with the release of her latest track, “Fort Knox.” Officially launched after its inclusion in a recent run of festival performances, “Fort Knox” has swiftly emerged as a fan favourite. It’s clear this anthem is Sigrid’s most audacious offering yet. Moreover, resonating with listeners in a way that is both powerful and infectious.
Sigrid’s latest track, a vibrant pop anthem, marks her second release of 2025, following the enchanting indie-pop single “Jellyfish,” which made waves upon its release in July. Whereas “Jellyfish” showcases an airy melody with introspective lyrics about acting upon crushes. The new song takes a bold leap into a more dynamic and upbeat soundscape. Consequently, the contrast between these two tracks is striking, as they reveal Sigrid’s versatility. Furthermore, with each release, it’s evident that she has embraced her artistic freedom with an infectious confidence. Thus, allowing herself to delve into a playful and exhilarating approach to her music. This evolution emphasises not only her growth but also her joyous exploration of different musical realms, inviting listeners to join her on this exciting journey.
“It’s a song filled with that anger that only comes from being hurt“, says Sigrid on the song. And is further reaffirmed in the song lyrics “I’m gonna lock my love in a box, and safeguard it like it’s “Fort Knox.”
The hype has started with aplomb for “Fort Knox“. The track officially aired with Jack Saunders as Hottest Record on Radio One. Above all, this also proved the perfect opportunity for Sigrid to announce her third album, “There’s Always More That I Could Say” out October 24th.
Additionally, afterwards, she jumped on social media. To invite fans to come over to 42-56 Seven Dials, Earlham St, London WC2H 9LJ from 5PM BST on Wednesday 20th August to find out more…
