Lainey Wilson Celebrated With Huge Nashville Tribute
Big things are happening for Lainey Wilson. The singer is a long way from getting inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. But her career so far has been celebrated with a huge tribute in Nashville.
Lainey Wilson Shares Wedding Update
Lainey Wilson has been dating former NFL quarterback Devlin (Duck) Hodges since 2021. But they didn’t go public with their romance until stepping out at the 2023 ACM Awards.
She won four awards that night – Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year for Bell Bottom Country, Female Artist of the Year, and Artist-Songwriter of the Year. She has racked up more awards since.
The “Watermelon Moonshine” singer has also added a sparkly engagement ring to her ensemble. Her longtime boyfriend proposed in March. She shared an update on her wedding with PEOPLE magazine.
She said that they’re “talking about” planning their wedding. “Poor thing … He made me wait four years. I’m gonna make him wait a little bit. Gotta keep him on his toes, you know!”

But what she won’t have to wait for is to get honored at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Lainey Wilson is still relatively new in what is sure to be a long career. However, the establishment thought her humble upbringing and career so far deserved celebration.
The Country Music Hall of Fame debuted an exhibit dedicated to the singer. Dolly Parton recently had an exhibit, too. Another sign that Lainey Wilson becomes more like her idol every day.
Like Dolly’s, Lainey Wilson’s exhibit features some of her iconic outfits, including her signature cowboy hat and the wig she woreas a Hannah Montana impersonator early in her career.
The memorabilia also includes hand-written and typed song lyrics, but one piece of her childhood is a little embarrassing.
Her Childhood Letter To Tim McGraw
Dolly Parton isn’t Lainey Wilson’s only country music idol. Like many up-and-coming singers, she looked up to Tim McGraw. Even Taylor Swift’s first hit song was about Faith Hill’s husband.
As a child, Lainey Wilson wrote a letter to Tim McGraw. His album, A Place in the Sun, was the first album she ever bought. He was also the first artist she ever saw in concert. The fan letter is on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame, along with other mementos from her childhood and career.
She didn’t say if the exhibit also includes the letter she received from rocker Jon Bon Jovi. You’ll have to check out the exhibit yourself to find out.
Lainey Wilson: Tough as Nails is on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame until June 2026. Viewing the exhibit is included in the price of admission to the museum.
