Reba McEntire One Kind Gesture Made Trisha Yearwood Love Her For Life

Garth Brooks isn’t the only huge Trisha Yearwood fan. Country singer Reba McEntire is a friend and collaborator. In addition to earlier collabs, the two joined forces at the Grand Ole Opry’s 100th anniversary to perform “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia” together.

In March 2025, Trisha Yearwood received one of the biggest honors for anyone in the entertainment industry. She got her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Reba McEntire and Garth Brooks were on hand to celebrate the occasion.

Reba McEntire was a guest speaker during the ceremony. During her acceptance speech, Trisha Yearwood recounted how Reba supported her early in her career.

“The first artist that was so kind to me at an award show was Reba McEntire, who just exemplifies friendship and class. She sent me flowers at my first award show when no one even knew I was in the dressing room, and I thought they were from my mom and dad,” Trisha told PEOPLE magazine.

The two have remained close friends ever since.
