For those still regularly following Willie, even though he has built a legendary career that he could easily ride off into the sunset and retire from, Nelson is still putting in the work releasing music and more.
Willie Nelson’s latest record is Oh What A Beautiful World, which he released in 2025. Despite his age, Willie has proven that he still has plenty in the tank, and it’s something his fans love to see.
Nelson Cancels Major Show, Fans Concerned
Based on the latest updates surrounding Willie Nelson, the iconic musician had to back out of a major show, and it’s something that is concerning a lot of fans. Of course, the first thing that many people may think is that it’s due to some kind of health issue. However, according to the latest updates, there is a different reason for the cancellation.
It turns out, Willie Nelson was supposed to take the stage at the Outlaw Music Festival’s 10th anniversary concert on July 1. Unfortunately, the event was canceled due to “extreme weather conditions.” This is bad news for anyone who purchased tickets and was looking forward to the show.
Unfortunately, heavy rains and high winds “damaged or waterlogged several instruments.” Part of the statement read, “Much of the Outlaw Music Festival’s equipment and artists’ instruments were damaged and waterlogged, making their condition difficult to assess in time to accurately and safely use for tomorrow’s show. The potential damage has halted the festival production as they recover and replace what’s necessary for the tour to resume.”
Willie Nelson Fans Concerned About Iconic Guitar
One of the things that Willie Nelson fans are most concerned about is the status of his beloved guitar, Trigger. Nelson has been using this instrument since the 1960s, and fans are concerned that Trigger took on water damage.
Trigger is a Martin N-20 nylon string classical acoustic guitar. While it has been banged up over the years, the instrument is almost as iconic as the musician himself. Luckily for fans of the singer, Trigger is okay, and there is no reason to be concerned.
Taking to social media, Willie Nelson’s official Instagram account updated fans on the status of Trigger, writing, “Trigger is marked SAFE from the damage suffered to other instruments and equipment in the MO storm.”
