Country music singer Gavin Adcock was recently arrested, and he is now sharing the details of his arrest. Whiskey Riff shared what Gavin had to say about what went down.
Gavin Adcock’s Arrest In May
Gavin was actually arrested in May in Tennessee. This happened just outside of Nashville. He was picked up on charges of reckless driving and open container. According to reports from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Adcock was arrested at 11:15 PM and released on a $1,000 bond at 4:34 AM. That isn’t a very high bond, and he probably had no problem at all paying that.
Gavin’s New Song ‘Morning Bail’
It turns out that Gavin Adcock is releasing a new song on Friday that is called “Morning Bail.” This is his way of speaking out about the arrest through his lyrics. It doesn’t surprise anyone that this is the way that Gavin would talk about what went down. Here are the lyrics:
Hey mister, can I get a copy of the mugshot?
Last thing I remember
I forgot to eat dinner
Then I started sipping liquor
And it all went darkEver since her leaving
I’ve been bottom barrel sinking
Man, I gotta quit drinking
On a broken heart
Guess I was hitting it hard
Woke up in a cell
Blew my money at the bar
Now I can’t make morning bail
Everyone assumes this is about Gavin’s recent arrest, but he did make bail luckily. If his girlfriend dumped him again, then he hasn’t said anything about that, but the couple is very on again and off again.
Gavin Adcock did actually talk about the arrest though and the song lyrics were explained. Here is what he had to say:
“I bought my dream car.. a 1973 Dodge Challenger. Over the past few months I’ve been putting money into it, getting it running as good as new, and decided I wanted to take it for a joy ride. The car ran great. I got pulled over and arrested for reckless driving going 103 in Wilson County, TN.
I wrote this song a few months back and planned to put it out on the album, but I figured there’s no better time than now.”
This is still great timing for him to put out the song. Gavin knows that it will be a hit with fans.
