Tim McGraw Abruptly Canceled 2024 Tour

In the summer of 2024, Tim McGraw was on the last leg of his Standing Room Only tour to promote the album of the same name released the previous year. The tour kicked off in March and was extended through the fall due to popular demand. However, the last few dates were abruptly canceled when the singer was injured.

His fans were understandably disappointed to miss him in concert, but they understood that his health comes first. The singer has spent the last year recovering from knee surgery. But it turns out that he went under the knife for more surgeries than publicly revealed.

Details Multiple Back Surgeries

Tim McGraw was a guest on a recent episode of The Bobby Bones Show. He appeared alongside several of the real-life rodeo stars involved in Nashville’s upcoming Music City Rodeo event. The rodeo is something close to Tim McGraw’s heart. He was attached to star in a Netflix drama series about the rodeo. However, the series was scrapped after his injury.

He revealed on the radio show that he had back surgery before the Standing Room Only tour. The singer thinks his knees gave out during the tour because of the strain on his knees.

“I had had a back surgery before tour last year, and that sort of went south on me right at the beginning of the tour,” he said. “And so, sort of compensating for that, my knees went out like three weeks into the tour.”

But his health woes didn’t end with the double knee replacement. While he was healing from that surgery, his back went out again. He had to have a second back surgery. He told Bobby Bones that he’s had three back surgeries total, but didn’t give details on when the third back surgery happened.

But the singer did say that he’s finally on the mend. He’s ready to take the stage again.

Along with Jelly Roll and Reba McEntire, he headlines the first-ever Music City Rodeo event in Nashville. Jelly Roll opens the event on May 29. Reba McEntire takes over on May 30, and Tim McGraw closes out the show on Saturday, May 31.

After that, he has a show in Colorado. Then he heads to Bristol, Tennessee, to perform during the MLB Speedway Classic baseball game between the Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Reds.
