Miranda Lambert Reworks Her Biggest Hit In Exciting Collaboration
Miranda Lambert is a bona fide country music star. She reworked her biggest hit in an exciting collaboration with an up-and-coming singer. Keep reading for all the details and listen to the stunning collab.
Miranda Lambert Marks Kerosene Album’s Anniversary With Shocking Admission
Miranda Lambert made the decision to leave her long-time label in 2023. She’d been with Sony from the beginning of her career but needed a change. She signed with Republic Records. Her first album with the new label came in 2024. Last week the singer performed “Run,” a single from Postcards From Texas, at the ACM awards.
Even though she’s left the old label behind, Miranda Lambert has forgotten how she got where she is now. 2025 marks 20 years since her debut album, Kerosene, was released. The album had a few singles, but only the title track was a hit. “Kerosene” peaked at number 15 on the country music charts.

The singer released the album on vinyl in April to mark the milestone anniversary. She also took to social media to share shocking memorabilia from 2005. Miranda Lambert revealed that her mother used to make her write a blog following the record’s release.
Blake Shelton’s ex-wife read one of the blog posts to enthralled fans on social media. In the blog post, the singer expressed disbelief that her album was a hit. Miranda Lambert wrote that she hoped she wouldn’t forget how the moment felt. The singer wrote in the blog that she had gone to the store to buy crayons and a coloring book to relax her mind.
Biggest Hit Reworked In Exciting Collaboration
Miranda Lambert has had many hits in her long career. But “The House That Built Me” gave the Nashville Star alum her first number-one hit on the country charts. It wasn’t the last, but the song holds a special place in Miranda Lambert’s heart.
It also holds a special place in up-and-coming singer Hudson Westbrook’s heart. He regularly covers the song. He hoped to record a version with Miranda Lambert, but something even better happened.

Hudson Westbrook released the song “House Again” in 2024 as the first single of his self-titled debut album. The song has a similar theme to Miranda Lambert’s “The House That Built Me.” Instead of joining Westbrook on a rendition of her song, she did vocals on a re-release of “House Again.”
One fan called the unexpected collaboration “legendary.” Another fan praised Miranda Lambert’s vocals. Several fans still want the two to record “The House That Built Me” together. Fans can see Miranda Lambert in person this summer when she joins Morgan Wallen on tour. Maybe she will do her own cover of “House Again.”

Before he collaborated with THE Miranda Lambert, Hudson Westbrook performed “The House That Built Me” solo. The song has been a staple at his live concerts. He shared his version of the hit song on YouTube.
