AARON STAINTHORPE To Perform MY DYING BRIDE Material At Prophecy Fest 2026
My Dying Bride and vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe might be done with each other, but Stainthorpe is clearly not done with My Dying Bride. Prophecy Fest 2026 has just announced that Stainthorpe will team up with keyboard player Mark Deeks and cello sorceress Jo Quail to play My Dying Bride songs, Arð songs, and Jo Quail‘s own material together.
Other new acts to the festival include Maunah, Spiritual Front frontman Simone Salvatori doing a solo thing, and Neun Welten celebrating 20 years of Vergessene Pfade plus an exclusive metal set.
Prophecy Fest founder Martin Koller comments: “We are thrilled to welcome more fascinating artists and friends of many years, who have offered to perform special shows to the programme of 2026. We are always working hard to present once in a lifetime experiences at Prophecy Fest and we sincerely hope you are as curious and filled with anticipation about these newly announced shows as we are.”
Prophecy Fest 2026 will bring dark, forward thinking music with an attitude to one of the world’s most fascinating cultural locations, the legendary, natural Balve Cave. The three-day event will commence on Thursday, September 3 and it will conclude with a final concert starting before midnight of Saturday, September 5. The price for a 3-Day-Pass 2026 remains at 149€ (plus 10% service charge). Get your tickets for Prophecy Fest 2026 here.

My Dying Bride has not announced a new permanent vocalist just yet, though they have been playing live with Swallow The Sun vocalist Mikko Kotamäki in recent times… and maybe even working on a new record with him?
“My Dying Bride have decided to part ways with vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe,” wrote My Dying Bride in a statement.
“Please understand that this decision does not come lightly, hence our initial and painful silence while we gathered our thoughts and carefully considered our response to the disengaged, eerily abandoned state we suddenly found ourselves in.
“Our collective decision to move forward without him is not something we thought we would ever be forced to say, but to ensure a continued legacy for what we hold dear to our hearts, we simply have to move past this. Whilst change can be difficult, we are doing our best to bring this new chapter forward with powerful positivity.
“My Dying Bride are not on hiatus, we were never on hiatus. However, we do genuinely wish Aaron all the luck in the world in his new solo endeavours.”
