T-Pain Announces Official Dubstep Debut Headline Show

The event arrives after T-Pain threw down a surprise dubstep set at Excision’s Lost Lands festival in September.

After months of teasing his foray into dubstep production, T-Pain has announced his first official electronic headline performance.

The hip-hop and R&B luminary is poised to headline “T-Pain & Friends Bass Bootcamp,” taking place December 18th at District Atlanta. He has been developing his new sound behind the scenes and is now ready to debut it to the public, according to his storied record label, Nappy Boy Entertainment.

“After years of quietly pursuing a new passion, T-Pain is ready to bring his bass music to the world along with a new vision to bring bass culture to the forefront,” the label wrote on social media.

The show functions as the live finale of T-Pain’s new four-day Twitch series, Bass Bootcamp, wherein he produces beats and collaborates with a range of established bass artists, like PEEKABOO. The goal of the series is to build from scratch a brand-new bass set, which he’ll then debut at the Atlanta concert.

The show, however, is not T-Pain’s first time playing dubstep for a live crowd. He threw down a surprise set at Lost Lands’ 360° Crater Stage in September, marking his unofficial debut. Back in August, he appeared in a studio livestream working through unreleased bass demos with Viperactive and Brian Bayati, who serves as executive producer for DJ Diesel, the electronic music alias of NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal. He wrote at the time: “Dubstep career soft launch?”

The announcement of T-Pain’s headlining dubstep debut in Atlanta lands alongside another major update. Earlier this week, the organizers of Electric Forest revealed he will perform a rare b2b set alongside Diesel at the 2026 festival in Michigan.

Tickets to “T-Pain & Friends Bass Bootcamp” are on sale now at T-Pain’s official website.
