Legendary Country Stage Manager Arrested
Getting arrested is never a good move for anyone, especially someone who works with or for big names in the entertainment industry. Celebrities may not want to be associated with those who are involved in shady dealings. Of course, some are willing to give a second chance to workers who have really turned their lives around. Sadly, one legendary country stage manager is paying the price for his mistakes. Moreover, it cost him a job with someone who is quite prominent in the industry, and he probably won’t get hired again anytime soon. So, what exactly was this heinous crime that cost him his career?

The name might not ring a bell, but his resume speaks for itself. Joel Schoepf has been a longtime stage manager and guitar tech, mainly working out of Texas. Most recently, he spent his days employed by Parker McCollum, starting as the guitar tech in 2021. Joel soon moved up to stage manager, and then, on November 13th, 2025, he was arrested in New Braunfels, Texas, for the solicitation of a minor. It was an online solicitation, and the minor in question was under the age of fourteen.

As soon as it came out that he had gotten in trouble for such a thing, Parker McCollum fired him. Joel was only locked up for one day as the country stage manager made bond. This is a second-degree felony charge, and Parker is being praised for firing Joel. Clearly, there is still a trial to be had, but this has left an awful taste in people’s mouths. Predator Poachers had started a sting, and they had their eye on Joel. It seems like the job was done, but innocent until proven guilty.

Aside from working for Parker McCollum, Joel Schoepf had also worked with Cross Canadian Ragweed. Additionally, he was Reckless Kelly’s tour manager and the production manager for Willie Nelson’s Luck Reunion. So, he was known in the country world and was lucky to have made his way to Parker. Allegedly, Joel had been messaging a boy, 13, via Reddit, and that was how he was ultimately caught. After he was arrested, followers shared their thanks for Predator Poachers:
- The amount of pedophiles out there is absolutely mind blowing. I’m so thankful for you, Alex. We need you in the southeast!
- You definitely don’t get paid enough to do the work needed in order to make these arrests
