Listen to G Jones and Eprom’s Bold and Brash EP, “Disk Utility”

The unhinged four-track EP is accompanied by an intimate tour with stops in Chicago, San Francisco, Tampa and St. Louis.

G Jones and Eprom have long proven they’re unafraid to turn bass music on its head with reckless creativity. That hasn’t changed in their new EP, Disk Utility

The four-track project speaks to each producer’s fearless individuality. Refusing to conform or follow formulas, their off-kilter style stands unapologetically apart in a scene all too comfortable with sameness.

“These four tunes have been doing damage in our DJ sets for a while,” Eprom said in a press release. “We toughened them up and went in on the details for this release with the goal of writing a compact and effective package of tunes that hit hard in the club but still work in headphones and show a range of influences.”

Disk Utility arrives just two weeks after its first single was released. The first taste of the EP, “Slamming Keys” was nothing short of explosive, with twisted textures and manic energy creating an all-encompassing sensory blitz. This was certainly a hint at the explosiveness awaiting in the EP’s remaining three tracks.

“Noontime Acid” pulses with quirky, left-field sound design while “1000 Cuts” hits like a percussive whirlwind, commanding full attention. “By Your Side” offers a melodic reprieve amidst the EP’s relentless intensity.
