John Bush’s 5 Favorite Live Albums When He Was a Teenager
As he turns back the clock for three special shows performing sets from his era of Anthrax, singer John Bush is going back even further to recollect his favorite live albums from when he was a teenager.
The Armored Saint and former Anthrax frontman has always thrived in the live environment, still possessing the robust, booming voice heard on classics such as “Can U Deliver,” “Reign of Fire,” “Only,” “Room for One More,” “Safe Home” and many others from both groups.
Born in 1963, that puts Bush’s teenage years between 1976 and 1982 — a prime era as hard rock morphed into heavy metal, influencing a generation of future headbangers and headliners.
As the singer is about to celebrate his four-album legacy with Anthrax onstage with his Category 7 bandmates (Phil Demmel, Jason Bittner, Mike Orlando and Jack Gibson), let’s take a closer look at the live recordings that inspired him at such a young age.
But first, let’s take a look at those upcoming gigs where Bush will be celebrating his time in Anthrax!
