GRiZMAS Turns 10: Detroit Holiday Fundraiser Gears Up for Biggest Celebration Yet
The 12 Days of GRiZMAS returns this December, marking a decade of community-driven giving in support of youth music education.
Few holiday events can claim a decade of joy, charity and bass quite like GRiZMAS. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the beloved Detroit event is preparing for its most ambitious edition yet, spanning 12 days of community events, capped by two sold-out nights at the Masonic Temple.
What began in 2015 as a grassroots gathering has evolved into a staple of Detroit’s holiday calendar. “12 Days of GRiZMAS,” founded by GRiZ, returns starting December 9th, rallying the community around music and charity. Over the last decade, the event has raised more than $750,000 to support music education for Detroit youth, benefiting local nonprofit Seven Mile.
Anchoring the celebration is the GRiZMAS Workshop, the series’ largest holiday pop-up store to date. Open daily from 11am to 6pm at 160 W. Fort Street, the shop will offer exclusive merch and donation activations including a coat drive and raffle, with all proceeds benefitting Seven Mile.
Throughout the 12 days, attendees can also experience charity yoga, a roller disco, oce skating and more. Of course, the celebration culminates with GRiZ’s return to the stage for two sold-out shows at the Masonic Temple, marking his first Detroit performances since emerging from hiatus earlier this year.
With this year’s 10th anniversary milestone, GRiZMAS is a reminder that music and community, when woven together, can sustain the soul of a city. The event returns from December 9th through 20th, 2025.
