Zedd to Launch His Own Rollercoaster Experience at Universal Studios Japan

The superstar DJ and producer said he’s been developing the “space-club experience” with Universal over the past year.

Zedd is introducing a new kind of drop after announcing that Universal Studios Japan is giving him his own rollercoaster, a music-synchronized “space-club experience” that opens January 30th, 2026.

Dubbed “Space Fantasy – The Ride: CLUB ZEDD REMIX,” the collaboration reimagines the park’s Space Fantasy ride, a 585-meter-long attraction that features spinning cars and onboard speakers. Guests waiting in line will also hear a bespoke DJ mix composed by Zedd specifically for the queue.

A passionate gamer, Zedd often streams online, participates in gaming tournaments and collaborates with major esports brands, bringing a deep understanding of immersive entertainment experiences to the theme park project.

“My goal was to make the music drive the ride itself, guiding you through every rise and drop,” Zedd wrote in an Instagram post announcing the project, which he has been developing with the park over the past year.

Universal Studios Japan’s Space Fantasy originally opened in 2010, replacing the E.T. Adventure dark ride. The attraction is themed around a mission to “save the sun” as guests ride through a cosmic journey that integrates onboard lighting, projection mapping, synchronized audio and motion control systems, blending coaster dynamics with multimedia storytelling inside a fully enclosed environment.

“Space Fantasy – The Ride: CLUB ZEDD REMIX” is scheduled to open at Universal Studios Japan on January 30, 2026
