Morgan Wallen Slams Fellow Country Star: ‘New Music Sucks’
Morgan Wallen almost lost his career for making an offensive comment without realizing he was being recorded. He was caught on a security camera dropping the “n-word” in 2021. The scandal came a year after he was arrested for disorderly conduct at Kid Rock’s bar in Nashville, Tennessee.
The singer’s fans stuck by him through both scandals and helped him keep his career alive. But Morgan Wallen faced legal trouble again in 2024. He was arrested at Eric Church’s bar in Nashville. This time, he faced serious charges. He was booked on three felonies for throwing a chair off the bar of Chief’s.
The singer was eventually sentenced to seven days of jail time in a DUI rehab center and probation. But the scandal isn’t entirely behind him. Dash cam footage from the arrest recently leaked online. At first, Morgan Wallen denied to the officers that he threw the charge.
While in the patrol car, the country hitmaker took aim at a fellow country artist. “Please do not play Chris Young on this motherfu**er,” Morgan Wallen begged the officers. He later added, “Oh hell no, he’s terrible.”
Chris Young also faced legal trouble in 2024. He was arrested at the Tin Roof bar in Nashville after a confrontation with officers. The police were checking IDs at the bar. They claimed that the singer assaulted an officer during the incident. However, security footage showed a different story.
The footage showed the officers pushing Chris Young, causing him to fall backwards. All charges against the singer were dropped after the footage leaked.
“Whiskey Glasses” Singer Asked To Tidy Up Before Mugshot
The music in the patrol car wasn’t Morgan Wallen’s only concern after his arrest in 2024. PEOPLE magazine revealed that the singer asked the officers for help tidying up for the mugshot.
One officer showed Morgan Wallen the mugshot from his previous arrest. The singer asked if he had to take another picture or if they’d just use the old one. He was told that he likely had to take another photo.
There was a lot of chatter online about how disheveled Morgan Wallen looked in the 2020 mugshot. He didn’t want to make those headlines again. He asked the officer, “Can you make sure I got my hair looking decent?”
Morgan Wallen followed it up by asking the officer if they had a comb. They did and happily gave it to the singer so he could tidy up his appearance before the new mugshot was taken.
