In my May recap of the Eurovision Song Contest final, I took a moment to highlight the impressive opening act, Kyle Alessandro from Norway. As I reflected on his performance, I found myself genuinely excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for him in his post-Eurovision journey. Notably commenting, “genuinely excited to see where his post-Eurovision journey takes him”.

Now that Kyle is free from the pressures of Eurovision, he proudly debuts “Model“. The track is a much-anticipated follow-up to his earlier release, “Lighter.” Basically, I’m genuinely glad I acted on my instinct to keep a close watch on his evolving artistry. This transition from anthemic electro-pop to a polished alt-pop sound highlights his versatility and growth as an artist.

The rich soundscape prominently features Latin-inspired Spanish musicality, a nod to his heritage as he embraces his half-Spanish roots. This cultural influence is seamlessly integrated, bringing a vibrant energy to the track. Furthermore, there’s an irresistible charm that echoes the innovative spirit of Justin Timberlake’s “FutureSex/LoveSounds.” Subsequently, adds an intriguing layer of sophistication that not only captivates listeners but also sets Kyle apart in today’s music landscape.

The music video directed by Fredrik Hovdevik masterfully captures Kyle’s stunning transformation into a model, allowing him to embrace a captivating array of dramatic poses. As he passionately reflects on his love partners who exude an effortless, model-like elegance. Furthermore, the video fulfills every expectation I had. The clip not only showcases his artistic vision but also reveals a depth of maturity that far surpasses his years. This is a powerful and compelling depiction of self-expression.
