GAEREA Brings The Fire On New Single “Hellbound”
Portuguese post-black metal enigma Gaerea have announced their new album Loss, due out March 20, 2026 via Century Media Records.
Recorded in early 2025 in Portugal with longtime collaborator Miguel Tereso (Demigod Recordings), Loss is a raw, unflinching exorcism of emotion and identity — and marks the first album created with the same full lineup as 2022’s Coma. According to the band, the record represents a culmination of a decade of personal and musical evolution.
“I think the way we perform, the way we play, the way we dance onstage goes hand-in-hand with the way we look,” states Gaerea‘s frontman. “We’re showing more of ourselves, exposing ourselves. We’ve unlocked that freedom where we can do whatever we want. Why would we play into the façade of being a very aggressive band with our feet on the monitors when we can just dance?”
In the meantime you can check out the new single “Hellbound” above alongside a new music video: “This is the sound of Gaerea stepping beyond our own shadows,” said the band’s anonymous vocalist. “We’re not about to apologize for simply being who we are.”
