The country singers have been friends for over four decades. The Voice coach shared a shocking reaction to the viral photo of Dolly on her deathbed.

By the time Reba McEntire was a household name, Dolly Parton had already been reaching legendary status for years. But somehow, their paths crossed. The two met in the 1970s when Reba was still an up-and-coming singer.
Dolly and Reba became fast friends despite the media pitting them against each other. In a shocking confession, Reba admitted in 2024 that she’d never actually met her friend’s husband, Carl Dean. Dolly Parton’s beloved husband passed away earlier this year.

Reba McEntire’s friend Dolly Parton is having a rough year. Her husband passed away six months ago. She was ready to hit the road on tour in Las Vegas, Nevada, this winter. But she had to cancel the planned Las Vegas residency due to health issues.
One of her sisters sparked fear shortly after the tour was canceled by asking for prayers for the “I Will Always Love You” singer. Freida Parton later clarified her prayer request after scaring fans. Her sister isn’t deathly ill, but is dealing with some health problems.

But by then, news swept through the internet that Dolly Parton was dying. A photo circulated on social media of Reba McEntire at her friend’s deathbed. The photo prompted Dolly to make a proof of life video. She revealed that her illness was kidney stones.
“If I was really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one at my death bed. She might come visit me earlier,” she added.
Reba McEntire weighed in with her two cents after Dolly’s video. She called out the deathbed photo as AI. Another AI photo claims that Reba is pregnant with her fiance’s baby. The singer is 70. She’s done having babies.
“That AI mess has got us doing all kinds of crazy things,” Reba said in a social media video. “You’re out there dying, I’m out here having a baby.”

“Well, both of us know you’re too young and I’m too old for any of that kind of nonsense. But you better know I’m praying for you. I love you with all my heart and I can’t wait to see you soon,” she said to Dolly in the message.
The world isn’t ready to lose Dolly Parton yet, if we ever will be. Hopefully, the iconic performer has a speedy recovery and is back on tour soon.
