Lainey Wilson Can’t Wait To Roast Other Country Artists
Lainey Wilson is speaking out and saying that she can’t wait to roast other country music artists. She is hosting the CMA Awards again and plans to let them have it. Last year, they didn’t let her say as much as she wanted to, though.
Lainey Wilson Is Hosting Again
Last year, Lainey Wilson hosted the CMA Awards with Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning. It sounds like this year Lainey will be hosting on her own. It makes total sense to change that because they don’t need them all. Lainey did say that she has talked to both of them since last year, and she does think they are happy for her.
“I have no clue. I guess Luke ain’t mad at me because I’ve talked to him since. Honestly, he was probably, like, happy to have a year off. And Peyton, too, because they’ve been doing that for quite a while now.”

Lainey Wants To Do The Roasting
Lainey thinks that she will have some fun teasing and roasting the other artists at the CMA Awards. She doesn’t want to hold back either. Lainey said:
“It’s going to be fun to involve other artists, involve other people. Maybe just like have some bits, you know? I think it’s going to be a lot of crowd participation, which I’m excited about. If I can poke fun at people, hey, we’re good.”
Host Joseph Hudak asked her if she enjoys doing this and she made it very clear that she does. She has even picked out a victim if they will let her make fun of him.
“I’m going to try to if they let me! I tried to get them to let me do it last year; they were like, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa, that’s too far.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, but I go way back with these people.’ Like, let me make fun of Luke Combs, please!”

This isn’t a crazy thought at all. They always like to make jokes at the awards shows, but they just have to make sure they don’t take it too far. Lainey has some good friends in the crowd, so she should easily be able to make a few funny comments about them without upsetting anyone.
Do you think that they should let Lainey Wilson roast whoever she wants at the awards? Would you like to see that? Sound off in the comments below on your thoughts.
