Despite being a country boy who loves to hunt, the singer has never hunted alligators before. He went on an alligator hunt for the first time ever. Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan have a lot in common. The country singers both grew up in Georgia. Luke Bryan hails from Leesburg, while Jason Aldean grew up an hour away in Macron, Georgia.
The country stars are close friends. They were recently announced as co-headliners for a huge college football event. They’ll both perform at the Between the Hedges concert at the University of Georgia. Tickets go on sale on October 3 for the event, which takes place on April 25, 2026.
In the meantime, fans can catch Jason Aldean on his Full Throttle Tour. It wraps up in the U.S. in October before heading to Australia and New Zealand later this year.
The singers have another connection, too. Jason Aldean paid tribute to podcaster Charlie Kirk with a Luke Bryan song. Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during a speaking event earlier this year. The murder sent shockwaves through the country.

Jason Aldean’s tour recently took him to Lafayette, Louisiana. The singer’s father had visited the Red Levee’s Bar in nearby Catahoula. His dad became friends with the owner, Liz Higginbotham.
While his father was there, he asked the owner to take his son alligator hunting sometime. That time finally arrived during a break from the tour.
Jason Aldean was able to bag at least one alligator in the hunting expedition. “We killed about 10 all altogether. Jason’s was 10-feet, 5-inches,” the bar owner told the media.
A photo was posted on social media of the singer proudly standing next to his kill. The alligator was lifted up by a vehicle to show its full length.
Surprisingly, it was the singer’s first time alligator hunting, but likely won’t be the last.
Jason Aldean went to the bar for a while after the outing. “He came behind the bar and we pretended he was bartending. He visited with people and said it was a long time since he had been in a little dive bar like that,” the owner said. The singer left once it spread around town that he was at the bar.
