Watch “Get Over It” by Georgia
Georgia has joined the impressive lineup of Frost Children collaborators, which also features rising stars like Kim Petras and Babymorocco. With her new track, “Get Over It,” she delivers a fresh sound that arrives just in time for the eagerly awaited release of Frost Children’s latest album, “SISTER,” coming on September 12th. This strategic release not only capitalises on the buzz surrounding the album but also showcases Georgia’s unique artistry. “Get Over It” is a captivating track that embodies the vibrant energy and innovative style that have come to define Frost Children’s music. As the anticipation for “SISTER” builds, Georgia’s single stands ready to make waves of its own in the music scene.
Talking about the track, Georgia says: “Frost Children and I got together and on one grey London night in my studio pretty much wrote & produced this whole song. Angel & Lulu completely inspired me from there on and altered my whole musical writing landscape”.
The release of “Get Over It” not only builds on the sound established by Georgia’s distinctive 2024 track, “Too Much Too Little,” but also takes it to exhilarating new heights. This vibrant, club-oriented anthem pulsates with infectious energy, making it a standout that is equally impactful and unforgettable. With its infectious hooks and driving basslines, “Get Over It” is ready to dominate dancefloors, capturing the essence of nightlife.
The track features shimmering synths and compelling vocal layers that evoke a Robyn-like vibe, making it equally catchy and dance-worthy. I can easily envision the festival crowd fully embracing this song, especially as they return to the exhilaration of clubbing and nightlife. With its irresistible groove, “Get Over It” has all the elements to become an anthem for partygoers eager to lose themselves on the dancefloor.
“This song is meant to make you just lose yourself & throw your hands up and let go of whatever you are going through, even if it is for just 3 minutes!” Georgia declares
A music video directed by Spike Silverton brilliantly highlights his talent for video projections. The clip transcends its intimate setting, creating an expansive club aesthetic through his masterful camera techniques. It’s a testament to his expertise in the field. I’m particularly captivated by the moments where Georgia fully embodies her Mr Doodle persona.
With two new tracks launched in as many months, I’m confident we haven’t seen the last of Georgia this year. Hurrah!
