deadmau5 Powers Up New Era for Creators With Custom-Built Server

deadmau5 joined forces with 45Drives to develop an innovative, custom-built server geared towards creators.

For artists tired of choosing between performance and control, deadmau5 is offering an alternative with no compromise required. The influential electronic music producer has teamed with open-source hardware leader 45Drives to launch a signature series server built from the ground up.

Debuting live on September 12th during the 2025 Creator Summit in Wilmington, North Carolina, the server is will mark the inaugural release from 45Studio. The event, now in its third year, marks the company’s largest pivot yet toward serving the creative community.

Whether it’s rendering video, producing music or livestreaming, the system is designed to keep up silently, and efficiently. Developed with input from deadmau5 himself in collaboration with 45Drives’ research and development team, the server boasts passive cooling, high-speed SSD storage and modular components designed to scale with a creator’s needs.

The design process focused heavily on minimizing latency, maximizing uptime and eliminating audio interference in studio environments.

“deadmau5 represents the kind of creator who refuses to compromise—and that’s exactly who we built 45Studio for,” said Dr. Doug Milburn, President and Co-Founder of 45Drives. “This isn’t just a partnership; it’s a shared belief that open, scalable hardware should be in the hands of the people actually making things. We’re proud to have built something truly new with him.”

The Creator Summit takes place September 8-12 and will see deadmau5 himself taking the stage both as a product designer and as an artist. You can find the full conference schedule here.
