SPINESHANK’s TOMMY DECKER In The E.R. For Five Hours, Gets Out & Plays A Full Show Anyway

Spineshank drummer Tommy Decker revealed he performed at the band’s sold-out August 23^rd show at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, CA, just hours after spending five hours in the emergency room earlier in the day. Decker shared the experience the following day (August 24) via social media, posting: “This is how my day started vs how it ended,” wrote Decker.

“I spent 5 hours in the ER in the morning, then played a sold out show with Spineshank that night! I want to thank all my friends for the outpouring of concern and love. I love you all more than you’ll ever know! Also, thank you to all the friend/fans at the Whisky for showing me the love! It ended up being a great night. Thank you all!”

The exact nature of Decker’s ailment wasn’t disclosed, but the drummer’s resilience quickly drew admiration from fans and peers alike. Here’s hoping the guy is alright and stays alright.
