DISCIPLES OF VERITY (LIVING COLOUR, GOD FORBID, Etc.) Streams Heartfelt New Single “In My Eyes”
Disciples of Verity — the powerhouse metal group fronted by Corey Glover (Living Colour) — have dropped their new single “In My Eyes” via TLG | ZOID, distributed through Virgin Music Group. The track arrives with a lyric video, streaming now on the band’s official YouTube channel.
Produced by George Pond (Swim The Current, Negative Sky) and co-produced by Sahaj Ticotin (RA), “In My Eyes” offers a heartfelt reflection on perspective, empathy, and the shared struggles that shape our lives. Drummer Corey Pierce (God Forbid) explains, “It’s about finding unity and closure by learning to see the world through the eyes of others — illustrating our need for partnership and community through shared experiences.”
The single is a taste of the band’s forthcoming sophomore album Nexus, due in 2025. Following their 2020 debut Pragmatic Sanction, Disciples of Verity — rounded out by guitarists Mark Monjoy (Sekond Skyn) and Zack Miranowic (Sekond Skyn, Riversend) — have continued refining their unique “new breed of crossover metal,” blending heavy grooves, hardcore grit, and soaring melodies.
Formed just over four years ago, the group’s all-star lineup channels decades of experience into a modern, hook-laden sound that bridges metalcore ferocity, active rock accessibility, and precision production. With Nexus, they aim to push their sound further across 12 hard-hitting tracks.
Formed in New York City around 2019. United by Pond‘s vision, the members quickly began crafting a debut full of heavy, infectious grooves erring toward hardcore, metalcore, and active rock — a brand new breed of crossover metal. Their first album Pragmatic Sanction featured collaborations with major names like Morgan Rose, Phil Demmel, Jeff Loomis, Tara McLeod, JJ Sammataro, and Joe Gareri.
