Knock2 Confirmed as Headliner of &FRIENDS Halloween in Manila
Dabin, BEAUZ and more are set to join the EDM.com Class of 2023 star in October.
&FRIENDS Festival is doubling down on its Manila expansion with a hotly anticipated Halloween event that promises to cement the city’s growing reputation as Southeast Asia’s electronic music hotspot.
&FRIENDS, which drew over 20,000 attendees across two sold-out nights in May, returns to Okada Manila on October 31st with a heavyweight lineup headlined by EDM.com Class of 2023 star Knock2. The Laotian-American producer’s Manila debut comes amid a breakneck rise to the elite in the electronic music scene, where his bass house-trap fusion and viral hits like “dashstar*” have made him a festival circuit favorite.
Knock2 will be joined by JUNO-nominated producer Dabin, who brings his cinematic approach to bass music after dropping his radiant fourth album, Aura Park, back in April. Red-hot duo BEAUZ, who were also named to our Class of 2023, add their techno edge to the mix while SABAI will unleash his soaring melodic bass. Rounding out today’s reveal is a b2b set from a pair of fast-rising trap producers, FrostTop and RemK, as well as Myanmar-born DJ Y3llO.
Organizers promise additional international and local acts to be revealed in the weeks ahead. They also said attendees can expect “next-level production,” per a press release.
What’s particularly notable is &FRIENDS’ rapid scaling in Manila’s competitive events landscape. The festival brand’s May debut marked a significant bet on the Philippines’ EDM appetite, one that clearly paid off given the quick turnaround to a Halloween event.
