Tim McGraw cut his 2024 tour short after suffering an injury. During an appearance on Bobby Bones’ podcast a few months ago, the singer shared never-heard-before details about his health. He revealed that he underwent multiple back surgeries, in addition to the double knee replacement surgery.
The popular country superstar returned to the stage in late May for the first-ever Rodeo in Nashville. He closed out the show on May 31st, but his next scheduled appearance was canceled. He was supposed to perform at the Bull Riders’ Last Cowboy Standing event in Fort Collins, Colorado, on July 21.
After canceling the event, he jetted off to Europe with his wife, Faith Hill, to catch their youngest daughter opening for Brandi Carlile. Tim McGraw shared a photo of him using a cane while overseas, sparking concerns about his health. But it seems he’s on the mend now.

As longtime Tim McGraw fans know, baseball has a special place in his life. His late father, Tug McGraw, was a professional baseball player for nineteen seasons! He began his career in the MLB with the New York Mets in 1965.
Tug McGraw ended his career with the Philadelphia Phillies. He was paramount to the Phillies winning the World Series in 1980. Tim McGraw’s uncle played ball in the minor leagues.
Even though Tim McGraw is a singer, baseball is in his blood. He honored his dad and uncle during his performance at the MLB Classic.

“I wish my dad and my uncle were here to see it. They would’ve been so inspired and so proud that something like this was going on. I just wish they’d been here to see it,” the “Don’t Take The Girl” singer told the crowd.
Rapper Pitbull joined Tim McGraw on stage to perform “I Like It, I Love It.”
Is He Releasing A New Album Soon?
Tim McGraw was recently spotted looking fit when heading to the gym and recording studio. The photos sparked speculation that he’s working on a new album. He hasn’t publicly confirmed it.
However, he did just drop a new song. He released the single “King Rodeo” and the accompanying music video on August 1st.
The song tells the story of a former rodeo hero struggling with the end of their career. The song was allegedly part of the scrapped Netflix series that Tim McGraw had to drop out of due to his back injuries.
