Country singer Tim McGraw has had a tough few years. He was forced to cancel his Standing Room Only tour last year. He later revealed that he injured his back while recovering from double knee surgery. The singer reportedly had back surgery earlier this year. Tim McGraw Releases New Song After Canceling Tour
Tim McGraw has spent the last three decades amassing major success in the music industry. His breakthrough came in 1994 with the release of his second album, “Not a Moment Too Soon.” The title track rocketed to number one on the charts.
Faith Hill was a rising star in country music at the time, too. She joined Tim McGraw’s Spontaneous Combustion Tour in 1996. Sparks flew and they were married by the end of the year. In the years since, they’ve collaborated on many hits, as well as nurturing their solo careers.
Tim McGraw released his 17th studio album, Standing Room Only, in late 2023. He went on tour the following year to promote the album. The tour was almost over when he was forced to cancel the remaining shows.
After spending months recovering from the injury, Tim McGraw is reportedly back in the studio. He took to social media to tease his new song that drops on Friday.
Taste of Country speculated that “Hey King Rodeo” was written for the Netflix rodeo series that Tim McGraw had to drop out of after suffering a back injury.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s youngest daughter, Audrey, spent this summer touring Europe with Brandi Carlile. The proud parents went to a show in Amsterdam. A photo they posted on social media revealed that Tim McGraw was, at least temporarily, using a cane in his recovery from surgery.
However, it seems he’s since ditched the cane. He was spotted heading into the recording studio. Not only is the cane gone, so is Tim McGraw’s hair. He showed off a shaved head and fit figure in a tight t-shirt and cargo pants. In addition to the recording studio, sources spilled that he also went to the gym.
The new photo hints that Tim McGraw is on the road to recovery after several grueling surgeries. Fans can’t be more excited to see what the singer does next. Stay tuned for news on a possible new album!
