Miranda Lambert’s New Song With Chris Stapleton
Miranda Lambert released her tenth studio album in late 2024. Postcards From Texas was her first album since leaving Sony Music Nashville for Republic Records in 2023. She’s been with Sony since the beginning of her career.
But her latest album isn’t the only new music she’s putting out. She dropped a new duet with Chris Stapleton on July 11. Miranda Lambert then made a surprise appearance at his concert in SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on July 19 to perform it for the first time.
She revealed on SiriusXM’s The Highway how the surprising duet came about. Although the song was just released, it was actually written several years ago.
Miranda Lambert revealed that Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers inspired the song. “It was like on our group text, like the memes we keep sending are all the Kenny and Dolly, you know, we really wanted to like, we wanted to fully go there and I feel like we did and paid homage to our heroes.”

Miranda Lambert’s surprise appearance at Chris Stapleton’s concert wasn’t her only tour stop this month. She was previously announced as one of the opening acts for Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem summer tour. The decision to partner with Morgan Wallen received some pushback from fans, but Miranda Lambert went ahead with the tour plans anyway.
And good thing she did. The singer made one fan’s day with a priceless concert souvenir. Miranda Lambert is not only a great singer, she’s one artist who never forgets her fans. She’s also in tune with what’s going on in the country. The Texas native is working on a relief concert for the victims of the flash flood that took hundreds of lives over the July Fourth holiday weekend.
Miranda Lambert put on a great show during a recent tour stop with Morgan Wallen. She took to Instagram to thank her fans for showing up, but one concertgoer shared a heartwarming moment from the show.
The fan wrote, “You were phenomenal last night! One of your tour staff approached me near the end of Mamas Broken Heart and gave me a pick saying ‘we’ve seen you singing every song.’ So thank you to you and your crew!” they wrote, adding, “Got some amazing footage of you from front row & still euphoric after such an incredible concert!”
