Country star Tim McGraw embarked on the Standing Room Only Tour in early 2024 after the release a few months earlier of the album Standing Room Only. Unfortunately, he suffered a major injury on stage and was forced to end the tour early. He’s slated to make his return to the stage later this month, but sources say the singer is afraid it might be his last show. Keep reading to find out what’s going on.

“Don’t Take The Girl” Singer To Headline Nashville Rodeo

Tim McGraw last performed for a packed crowd in the summer of 2024. He was forced to cancel the shows scheduled for the rest of the year after suffering a major injury. According to multiple outlets, the I Like It, I Love It singer took a tumble off the stage in 2022 and seriously injured his knees and back.

He had double-knee surgery in August 2024, shortly after canceling the tour. The singer also needs back surgery at some point, though it hasn’t been reported if he’s undergone the grueling surgery yet. Scraping the tour wasn’t Tim McGraw’s only loss after the injury. He had to back out of a planned Netflix drama based on the rodeo community.

Tim McGraw is scheduled to make his long-awaited return to the stage earlier this month. He is one of the headliners for the first-ever rodeo in Nashville, Tennessee. The Music City Rodeo event takes place on May 29 through May 31 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

The “Cowboy Lullaby” singer closes out the show on Saturday, May 31. Reba McEntire opens the event on Thursday, May 29. Jelly Roll, one of the hottest country artists right now, takes the stage on Friday, May 30.

Tim McGraw Fears Next Show Will Be His Last

Tim McGraw recently shared on social media that the proceedings from the Music City Rodeo will benefit a local children’s hospital. But will it be the last time he ever takes the stage? The singer has been working hard on his recovery from knee surgery to be ready to perform again.

But sources spilled to Radar Online that the singer is nervous about the upcoming performance. “He still doesn’t feel 100 percent, but he figures the longer he waits, the harder it will be for him to come back,” the insider claimed.

“He is worried about his knees and his back and doing even more damage,” the source added. The “Humble and Kind” singer is reportedly afraid the next show will be his last.

Scheduled For Historic Performance This Summer

Tim McGraw fans better hope the singer’s return to the stage goes off without a hitch. He has an event scheduled for this summer on an even bigger stage. He’s been named as the headliner for the MLB Speedway Classic baseball game between the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds.

The game takes place at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, on August 2, 2025. It’s the first major league baseball game ever played in Tennessee. As fans know, Tim McGraw’s father, Tug McGraw, played professional baseball.

Do you think Tim McGraw is right to be worried about the upcoming rodeo concert? Should he cancel and focus on his recovery? Sound off in the comments.
