Tim McGraw Skips 2025 ACM Awards
New and established country music stars descended on the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas, earlier this week for the Academy of Country Music Awards. But some pretty big names were missing. Morgan Wallen skipped the ceremony, despite several nominations. Pregnant singer Lauren Alaina opened up on social media about feeling ‘left out’ after missing the awards show.
Country royalty Tim McGraw and Faith Hill also skipped the ceremony. It makes sense considering neither has had new music this year. Tim McGraw released his last album, Standing Room Only, in 2023. His wife and fellow country star hasn’t released a new album in nearly a decade. Her last album was a collaboration with Tim McGraw.
The last time they attended the ACM Awards was in 2023 when he received the ACM Icon Award. “I would not be where I am today without you and your grace,” he said to Faith Hill in his acceptance speech.

Tim McGraw’s devotion to his wife of nearly 30 years is impressive. They married in 1996 and welcomed their first child a few months later. The “Cowboy Lullaby” singer recently shared a heartfelt birthday wish for his oldest of three daughters.
He returned to Instagram this week to share another emotional post that had fans in tears. He shared a video clip of himself meeting patients at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Tim McGraw revealed that his upcoming concert will benefit the hospital.

He is one of the headliners for the first-ever Music City Rodeo later this month. The event will be held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. But it’s not just a concert. The music is just a bonus to the real rodeo action.
