Jordyn Mallory Talks Country Music

When did you start in country music?

I started singing in church at a very young age. My grandma taught me old gospel songs. Then I learned who Leann Rimes was and I loved learning how to yodel. My parents took me to Nashville on vacation when I was 9 years old and it just kinda started from there. I feel like as a kid it really kept my head on straight because I was always working towards that goal of getting to Nashville.

Where can fans listen to your music?

Wherever they stream music! I’m on Spotify, Apple, Pandora, Amazon, Youtube.. all the streaming platforms. I just released the song I sang on the show so check it out. It’s Farmer & cast approved!

What social media is the best for following you?

I am most active on Instagram @jordynmallory but am also on Tiktok these days @jordynmalloryyy. I am sharing my journal entries from my time on the show on my tiktok so that’s been something fun to give people a behind the scenes look into how I was feeling and off camera experiences of what it’s like filming reality tv.

What made you decide on country music for your genre?

I’m originally from Okolona, MS.. it’s the type of place country songs are written about. I think growing up there and living a country lifestyle naturally made me gravitate towards country music. It really has just always been my favorite. I love to write all genres but for me as an artist, it’s country. I think that’s where my heart has always been and I’m a sucker for a sad country song. But who isn’t?

Don’t miss watching Jordyn Mallory on Farmer Wants A Wife on Fox on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. CST. New episodes air on Hulu the next day.
